At SOS Ministries, we believe your heart story matters but it does not have to define you. Jesus is the ultimate healer, binding up the brokenhearted and freeing the captives (Isaiah 61:1).
Through His love and truth, you can find freedom from emotional wounds and step into the abundant life He has prepared for you. Through faith-filled teachings, heart-healing prayer, and transformational discipleship, we guide women to surrender their past to Christ, allowing Him to rewrite their heart stories and lead them into their God-given purpose.

This faith-based program helps women overcome trauma, anxiety, and emotional wounds by aligning their heart story with God’s truth. As doorkeepers of our hearts, we close the door to harmful influences and open the door for Jesus to heal. Just as Hosea 2:15 declares, God turns our valleys of trouble into doors of hope, leading us into freedom and renewal.

Canvas of the Heart 2025 – Event Summary
Canvas of the Heart 2025 was an intimate, Spirit-led evening where artist Vanessa Horabuena painted three live prophetic paintings right in the room. Each brush stroke carried the presence of God. Hearts were softened, tears were shed, and many experienced deep emotional and spiritual refreshing.
What made the night so special wasn’t the size of the fundraiser but the move of the Holy Spirit and the way God ministered to every person present. Vanessa not only brought her incredible gift for painting but also shared parts of her own story, which touched every heart in the room. People commented again and again about how the atmosphere was filled with the Father’s love, healing, and restoration.
This night wasn’t about money — it was about ministry, encounter, and God’s presence, healing stories right in front of us.

Women’s Heart Healing Conferences Summary
Spark Our Spirit hosted two transformational women’s heart-healing conferences in 2025 — one in Tucson with 68 women and one in Minnesota with 74 women. Each gathering was a blessed space where Jesus tenderly met women in their heart stories, bringing healing, clarity, breakthrough, and renewed hope.
These conferences were designed to help women understand what their hearts have carried, release painful parts of their stories, and experience God’s presence in a profoundly personal, restorative way. Through teaching, worship, prayer, and a powerful soaking encounter, women found space to breathe again — to rest, to reconnect, and to rediscover who they are in Christ.
What happened in the room was nothing short of Holy. Women wept, healed, laughed, shared, connected, and encountered the Father’s love in ways many had never known before.

What is generational trauma?
Generational trauma refers to patterns of emotional pain, unhealthy beliefs, and behavioral cycles passed down through families. These can include fear, shame, perfectionism, people-pleasing, or feelings of unworthiness. The good news? God’s healing can break these cycles. Through faith, heart healing, and intentional transformation, we can close the doors to past wounds and open the doors to generational blessings (Deuteronomy 5:9-10).
What is heart healing?
Heart healing is allowing God to transform the subconscious stories and wounds that shape your life. Many of us carry deep emotional pain, whether from childhood experiences, past relationships, or trauma we don’t even recognize. Heart healing isn’t just about changing thoughts—it’s about inviting Jesus into the places of hurt so He can rewrite the narrative and bring true freedom (Psalm 147:3).
Is soaking biblical?
Yes! Soaking is a form of deep, intentional rest in God’s presence, often through prayer, worship, and meditation on His Word. Psalm 46:10 says, "Be still, and know that I am God." Soaking allows us to quiet our minds, surrender our burdens, and receive from the Holy Spirit—just as Mary sat at Jesus’ feet, choosing presence over performance (Luke 10:39-42).
Why do you focus on the subconscious mind in healing?
Because 90% of our thoughts are subconscious, meaning they operate beneath the surface, shaping our emotions, decisions, and beliefs. Many struggles—fear, anxiety, or striving—aren’t just mindset issues; they are heart issues. Romans 12:2 tells us to be transformed by the renewing of our minds—and that renewal starts deep in the heart, where God’s truth can replace hidden lies.
How do I know if I need heart healing?
If you find yourself stuck in emotional cycles, carrying pain from the past, or struggling with feelings of unworthiness, it might be time to explore heart healing. Common signs include:
✔ Repeating unhealthy patterns in relationships
✔ Battling perfectionism, people-pleasing, or fear of failure
